° GET : A CITY GARDEN °

Folie1

Bonjour!

You might have seen my new balcony on Instagram already (aahh Instagram, always the first one to know), but I wanted to show you some more details since having a nice flowered balcony in a city is not very easy but very precious.

Our terrace is oriented south-west and we call it ” The Sauna” here at home, since everything just grills out there. It is just hot hot!

So this year, I got myself some good advice and bought some plants and flowers who like sun and heat a lot!

Here is what I got:

COOL DOWN

Well I don’t know about you, but I melted today. Yes that’s right I’m am now only liquid and steam, and can only think about swimming and holidays (I know I just had some days off, but still).

So I thought that maybe some of you, might feel the same way, and since I couldn’t stop thinking about summer photos today, I decided to share the most refreshing ones with you.

So after a few desperate weeks, we can officially say: Summer is back!

Is it also that hot where you live?

————————————————————————————————————————————————-

ON MY WAY TO ENGLAND

Hi everyone!

Next stop of our trip: England.

For that we decided to drive up to Calais and take the ferry to Dover, way more exciting then travelling with the train. It’s actually quite convenient and quick (and not expensive at all). Of course the car was with us the whole time, which gave us some great liberty, and we could spontaneously decide what do to and when to do it.

We travelled with P&O Ferries which had great service, it was fast and organised. Nothing to say.

We were soooo lucky with the weather which basically turned out to be great the moment our holiday started. :)

Have a look at the photos from our trip between Calais and Dover. So sad it only lasted 40 minutes.

The view of the cliffes when arriving near the English coast is priceless!

Have a great sunday!

PS: I decided to start writting my articles in French as well after seeing the awefull translation of Google Chrome. It’s not what I would call a translation!

SUMMER IN PARIS

Hi everyone!

I am back on the blogosphere (finally) after a few days without a computer or internet.

So let’s go on with our 2 week roadtrip through France and England with our second day in Paris.

We were enjoying the hot weather at its fullest and went shopping and walking through the city all after noon long with some great company. We were so happy to run into some great friends and spending the day with them!

We went to “Le marché des enfants rouge” in le Marais, which is a mix of different markets from several nationalities where you can spent a nice sunday eating French food as well as a good morrocan couscous. I really recommend it when you are fed up with the city and need a calm and unexpected place.

Then we enjoyed some coffe in that same area, since everything is open on sundays as well there. You can do some shopping and have a great brunch. Plus it’s very chic. A tad snobish sometimes (well it’s Paris) but very nice.

The only negative thing about this afternoon, was (as always) the unpolite and unfriendly people. They seem to think that smiling and beeing welcoming is overrated. Well it’s not, and it’s really annoying having to change a location just because the waitress pisses you off. I was really disappointed, especially since I am French and this is probably the first thing tourists think as well when they visit this (other than that) wonderfull city. This is still a point to improve :)

Well here are some photos of that day.

Stay tuned for a great change of location tomorrow!

Enjoy your Friday!
