FLOATING PINK

Good morning, it’s the week end!

Even if the weather is definitely autumn like again, I was happy to be able to enjoy the warm weather this week. Since the winter season was very cold, I was happy-happy to be able to put on some light and colourful clothes again to go out without a jacket! J

Can’t wait to be in St Tropez next week!!

I wish you a wonderful week end!

LITTLE THINGS (I LOVE)

Hi people!

I decided to write as often as possible posts about the little things of our daily life that seem normal, but are really special after all. These moments we (have to) learn to appreciate more and more.

What about you, what are these special things that make your day a good one?

NEWS FROM THE FASHION WORLD

The French brand Zadig & Voltaire will open its first German store in Hamburg in Mai. Can’t wait, since it’s one of the numerous French brands I miss here! The store will be 210m² big, and will be taking over the old      G-Star store. The second store will open in Munich (!!!) During the summer.

H&M is probably planning to create a more qualitative line, comparable to COS. This piece of news wasn’t confirmed by the company itself, since “they always have ideas in development” but was communicated by a local Swedish business magazine. According to them, the new designer Behnaz Aram, would be involved in this project. Let’s hope this line will be launched!

Hermès increased their earning by 41% in 2011. They are planning 3 new stores in 2012. Micheal Kors’ earnings also grew by about 59%.

The city of Paris will be opening a new shopping center at the train station St Lazare. After 10 years of planning and construction, they will open a huge shopping area of 10 000m². A great way to spend some time waiting for a train. Brands like Lacoste, Guess, Aigle, will be there, as well as a Muji Store focusing on travel items. We love the idea!

The Fashion Week in Berlin will probably have to move its tent further away from the Brandenburger Tor for this summer’s shows, and will “camp” in the Strasse des 17. July, around 2km away from its original location. The reason for this, is the football (soccer) Europa Cup starting at the same time. We’ll see who wins the best spot!

As some of you might have seen, or read, Zara has opened its first new concept store in New York. The ambiance is much more simple with lots of white and light, which makes the whole concept much more stylish. Although, I am a bit afraid the prices might raise (again). Can’t wait to see the first stores in Europe.

Uniqlo is opening its biggest store in Tokio. It will be one of the several flagship stores of the world, like New York, Paris, Seoul, Osaka…

More news coming up soon!

SUNNY DELIGHTS

While walking around in town today, I was delighted (like all of us) to see the wonderful colors and summer outfits available everywhere. I really hope that our winter days are over, and am really looking forward to the summer: light dresses, open shoes, colorful nails, sunnies and sun screen… :)

And since I (we) don’t have time to shop everyday, I often have a look at the latest trends online, and check out some international brands, that don’t exist in Europe. This way you can compare, have a look, and come back the next day to buy or to have a look at something else.

Well, among all the colors that are back in style this season, I picked yellow (and gold) for this post, and selected a few of my favorite articles for you.

1. Sandals – J. Crew

2. Briefcase – J. Crew

3. Skull ring – Agatha

4. Trench – Burburry on Stylebop.com

5. Long summer dress – Shopcuffs

6. Flowery belt – Zara

7. Hat – Zara

8. Golden Bracelet – Shopcuffs
